Maribor

  • Distance from Camping šobec: 180 km
  • Trip duration: 2 h

The second largest city in Slovenia is world famous for its quite impressive attraction: the oldest vine in the world grows there. It’s more than 400 years old, so no wonder that visitors from all over the world come to visit it. Of course, the entire town and region are devoted to the production of wine, so we recommend a visit to Maribor to all lovers of excellent wines. A stroll around the town will reveal residues of the city walls, a synagogue, and main square with city hall. Strolling along the Drava River is a must, especially Lent, the most charming part of town hosting the largest outdoor summer festival in Slovenia.
